Surprise! Last Minute Show at The Good Hurt 3/13/13. This show was small but mighty! We were lucky to fill in a last minute slot for the club. The sound was good and we had a great time rocking out for an intimate show with our friends :)
Our live debut turned out to be an awesome night full of friends and fun. We rocked a full house and proved that it’s not all about banjos, folk music, and whiny guy voices. Nope, nope, rock n’ roll is still alive and we’re bringing it back people! Such a fun night and we’ll be destroying a stage near you soon enough so stay tuned. \M/
This is what happens when you’re working hard to accomplish your dream. You’ll go to bed late because you’re working on your band’s business. Then you wake up early to go to practice so you can get tight and work on your actual craft. Setting up the double bass on a Sunday morning getting ready for the jam.
I want to say thank you again to all my friends who left awesome comments on the Kroq post. Man, I truly appreciate whenever someone supports me in my dream. I just don’t have the words to describe how much it means to me. Its no lie when bands say they want to thank their fans most of all because honestly NONE of their success would be possible without them. Likewise for a little dreamer like myself, I will get NOWHERE without the support of my friends. Especially these days you have to have an army around you (or as I like to call it the “Search Party”) to help pull you up to the next level, get the word out, and get noticed. I know I will need to draw on my friends often to help me out and to support me and I hope you don’t get sick of me asking for it! Just know that I appreciate it so much and even if you think it’s gone unnoticed…it hasn’t. Rock on!!

As 2012 comes to an end
As 2012 comes to an end, I Am Demure is looking forward to the future of 2013. Here we are again another Friday night working hard to get everything ready to go! We’re officially done recording our EP with only some minor adjustments left and on to working on the cd design. Also hard at work setting up an online store for merch. Here’s a sneak peek!

Demure happy face when I Am Demure song Miss Perfect made it’s Rock-A-Holic debut last night. It was pretty special to hear our song being played to a packed club. Many thanks to Skum for making that happen!
Recording update
We’ve been in the studio recording some more and working on getting this EP finished. We tracked some scratch vocals the other day. I was happy to hear that my pitch was great!! Yay me :) Now i need to work on my timing in a couple places; really lock it in and get the feeling in there. I’ve got a great map now to practice with so next time I’m gonna go in and kill it!
I love recording but sometimes i get impatient because it does take a long time especially when you’re an independent band juggling work with music. I know some friends and fans are probably wondering what the hell is taking so long but just know we are working hard and getting stuff done. It just takes a while! We ran into a couple of…well i won’t say roadblocks, just detours, along the way so that added some extra time and changes. But I’m very excited about where we are right now and looking eagerly to the future!
